Anyone may opt for additional behind-the-wheel practice driving with our driving school; regardless if he or she attended one of our driver's educational courses. Our driving instructors work with all ages regardless of any prior driving experience. Our practice driving sessions are scheduled by appointments. 

If you have not contacted our office prior to enrolling, our office will make contact with you to schedule the practice driving session(s).

Practice Driving Overview

For the practice driving sessions, we cater to the individual and his or her needs and goals. At the end of the practice sessions, our driving instructor will provide an assessment packet detailing the driving performance on various driving aspects. This assessment is used as an indicator of which areas of improvement may need special attention.

Practice Driving Requirements (minors) 

- Domiciliary parent / legal guardian driver's license WITH copy of court-approved documents
- State issued Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP) card (This card WAS be obtained at the Office of Motor Vehicles prior to attending a driver's education course for any course taken on or after 9/4/2018.) **for anyone without a learner's permit or driver's license
- Certificate of Successful Completion as proof of completing the classroom portion of a Louisiana driver's education course **for anyone without a learner's permit or driver's license
- Unexpired state issued learner's permit or driver's license

Practice Driving Requirements (adults)

Driving Schedule Overview

Two hours scheduled in one day
Four hours scheduled in one day
Six hours scheduled over two days (3 hours per day)
Eight hours scheduled over two days (4 hours per day)

Practice Driving Package Costs

$120.00 for two hours - Cash / Check / Card / PayPal
$220.00 for four hours - Cash / Check / Card / PayPal
$300.00 for six hours - Cash / Check / Card / PayPal
$340.00 for eight hours - Cash / Check / Card / PayPal

*Payments made with a credit/debit card in person or over the phone are subject to a 3.5% service fee per transaction. 

Missed/Canceled Driving Policy

Any scheduled driving session that is missed or canceled without reasonable notice (24-hour prior notice) a cash fee of $75.00 will be charged to cover the driving instructor's cost. This fee will be required before the next scheduled session can begin.

1. Select the different practice driving packages that you wish to enroll for.
2. Include the student's name, phone number, and email address.
3. Enter the confirmed practice date that was verified by our office if you have.
4. Click "Add to Cart" and from the cart, you can check out and process your payment.
5. Print and bring the receipt to confirm your registration payment.

If there is a remaining balance, it is to be paid in person at the start of the first day of class. Balance payments can be made using a debit/credit card, cash, check, or money order. All checks or money orders are to be made payable to Road Scholars Driving. Payments made with a credit/debit card in person or over the phone are subject to a 3.5% service fee per transaction.
